The Iranian Conference on Bioinformatics is an annual conference devoted to all topics in Bioinformatics. Its tradition reaches back to 2001. The main goal of these conference series is to provide a forum to exchange ideas in a number of related research areas. The model used to form these annual conferences facilitates communication among researchers in different fields of Bioinformatics and outward research will be covered during the conferences. There will be opportunities to present and discuss methods, theoretical approaches, and practical applications. The event will be composed of keynote lectures, research presentations, tutorials, panel discussions, and poster presentations. The focus is not limited to specific computational techniques or biological applications. Scientists applying bioinformatics in life science related research are especially encouraged to present their work at the conference.

The ICB08' is organized by the University of Tehran and the Iranian Bioinformatics Society (IBIS).
The event will be composed of keynote lectures, research presentations, tutorials, panel discussions, and poster presentations.
